Llyn Alaw is a l arge reservoir with exposed mud in autumn and long walks around lake.

Facilities : Car park at Visitor Centre at the west end; small car park and walk  to hide at east end.

Birds - wildfowl: especially attractive to wildfowl in winter with good numbers of geese and arctic swans; waders: can be very good in autumn if water level low and mud exposed, includeding little stint, ruff, black-tailed godwit, spotted redshank, green and wood sandpipers

Rarities : Bittern: spoonbill: marsh harrier; osprey little gull; White- winged and black terns; pectoral and baird's sandpipers; long-billed dowitcher; red-breasted flycatcher; rock thrush .
